I saw a portion of the video on Alaska native americans and their healthcare practices. I am very impressed by what they have done. My respectful suggestion to them would be consider building a model that can be replicated by others — that is the holy grail of good ideas such as theirs. Allow others to build on their experience. To that end, I would encourage them to learn more about a Japanese program called Koreikyo — a program to support seniors so they can live independently in their own homes. It is organized as a consumer cooperative and the program is now national (begun in the early 1990’s). Here is a link for more information:
